About UPS & Our Culture
The evening hours between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM are among the most valuable in the UPS network — and among the most flexible for people building their working lives around other commitments. Our Part-Time Twilight Sort positions are specifically designed for students who finish class in the afternoon, professionals who want to supplement their primary income after work, and parents whose family obligations end at dinnertime. These UPS part-time jobs are the most popular shift window in our package center precisely because the schedule fits so naturally into so many different lifestyles. There is a reason our twilight sort team has the lowest turnover of all our part-time warehouse jobs.
What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)
"I finish my university classes at 4 PM and I am at UPS by 5. The twilight shift ends by 9:30 and I still have time to study before bed. My Teamsters medical benefits kicked in and replaced my expensive student health plan, and the Earn & Learn tuition payment covered my spring semester. I have recommended this UPS part-time warehouse job to every student I know — there is nothing in this area that compares." - Current Part-Time Twilight Sort Associate, Austin, TX.
Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a UPS Part-Time Twilight Sort Associate, you process the heavy wave of commercial and residential pickup packages during the peak evening sort window inside our package center, routing every parcel with accuracy toward its correct outbound trailer before the night linehaul departure window opens.

- Pallet Building: Stack sorted packages onto outbound pallets in stable, weight-distributed configurations and apply shrink-wrap securely before pallets are moved to the dock for trailer loading.
- Multi-Function Flexibility: Rotate between sorting, loading, and unloading assignments as directed by the twilight sort manager, adapting fluidly to wherever the facility's volume bottleneck is heaviest each evening.
Benefits & Perks
UPS Part-Time Twilight Sort Associates earn Teamsters union wages with contractual annual raises, full medical, dental, and vision benefits, pension contributions, paid personal time, and UPS Earn & Learn tuition assistance.
